2017 45 taps 43L
2018 55 taps 50L
2019 60 taps ~75L avg sugar 3.3%
2020 60 taps 70L
2021 60 taps cant remember
2022 60 taps 95L
2023 60 taps 75L New baby came day off boiling started, gave away 1200L of 3% didn't have time.
Been tapping since 2008.
2018 - 17 taps/7 trees...819l sap, approx 28l syrup
2019 - 18 taps/8 trees...585l sap, 28l syrup...21:1 ratio
2020 - 18 taps/8 trees...890.04l sap...gave away about 170l, 30l snafu'd....23l total for me from approx 690l
2021 - 18 taps/8 trees...395l sap, 12 l syrup
2022 - 18 taps/8 trees....7 sugars 1 red due to #2 having surgery so had the season off....582l sap, 18.5l syrup
2023 - 18 taps/8 trees...all sugars again. 807l sap, so far approx 14l syrup
Tapped some here today, well see how they run. but prob wont tap the rest for another week.
Yes I am in SW Ontario
SW here also just south and east of London....12 taps last year and 70 plus this year. walnut and mostly maple. some gravity lines and mostly buckets.
Just north of Woodstock 70ish all sugars this year buckets and a few drop lines.

Cool man! I think Galena has the very best of intentions. I know being from Ottawa myself that the season there starts later and goes later. Im looking at very little snow outside. and a warming trend that starts Thursday. Being close to the lake(Erie) changes everything. last year we had 2 seasons. Last one ended in early April. My trees are all on ridges and have exposed roots on one side. They give more than any other maples Ive ever seen being stressed that way. Im still learning so much.
Yes, you're right Diesel...I do mean well, and Jeez, you guys are south..if lake effect gives you 2 runs, go for it! But how exposed are the roots? I would think that it would be bad for the run.

I wish I could send you a video I have of my flow out of one of the trees...it's like a running tap. I'll try to get some pics up of the roots...
