    Exclamation 2024 Center Wisconsin Tapping

Well, clearly it’s way to early but when you look at the temps the next 10 days they look like mid-March.

I will put in one tap just out of curiosity and report back.

I put in the tap late Saturday afternoon at the warmest part of the day and was bone dry and have also remained that way.

Well I have pic to post but it won’t load. The bag I put up eight day ago has produced a quart.

Five more days of Spring days in the forecast. Then a return to winter.

Again I have a pick but can't get it loaded. Any advice?

Since 1/27 the sugar maple in my yard had only produced 1/2 to 3/4 gallon of sap. That's 13 days.

I am glad I did not go tap.

As far as your picture, you will have to upload a link to your picture and put in on one of the photo hosting websites. There seems to be little effort in getting the picture posting problem fixed on here.

I know some guys on vacuum are having decent runs here in Clark county this past week. The few I've heard on bags/buckets, not so much. I know I'm holding off for awhile yet.

I went to settings to see what the limit was for photos and it's like 250kb. What trailcam should i use for that? Guess they want no pictures hogging their memory.
seem to have peaked @ 20 taps: bags on hangers
    Homemade RO
2 or 3 gallons syrup per annum, formerly with wood fire arch and batch pans
then Dark Star 2.0 burner and 8 gal Megapot Brew Kettle with ball valve
transitioning now to 30x17x9 flat pan

rarely have so few toiled so much for so little

    Sap Aussie Gidget,
and my one and only Jill
