    The kids at school got the first taps in today at Moharimet Elem school... found that second graders could almost walk on snow not so much for the adults
    First time we have HAD to use snowshoes....

    All tapped out as of yesterday but 22 buckets to do will have our four hundred taps ready to go. Holding tanks in place today and pans etc in sugar house today. Ready now its up to mother nauture.

    Love hearing that the kids at school did some tapping! We are all rearing to go here in New Hampshire -- looking like the weather is going to start moving to more sugaring weather this coming weekend! If forecasters are right, we should all be collecting sap next week!
    2024 - 16 taps - buckets on our best producing trees, still boiling on a block arch with slight modifications/refinements over the years.
    2021 - 25 taps - all buckets
    2013-2020 - 30/41 taps: discovering which trees were the best producers
    2012 - First year - 21 taps in our backyard - block arch evaporator with 3 steam table pans!
