We are all tapped, all that is left is to assemble and wash the RO!

Our snow pack is up to 3' in Dryden and long term forecast is very cold. Time to dig/plow ATV trail to the sap tank and snowshoe trails to our bucket trees. At least this snow pack should extend the season.

We've had about 30" since last Sunday. I'll be in snowshoes until this settles enough or crusts over. Tomorrow 34F is forecast, 40F on Friday with rain. That will bring it down quite a bit.
Unfortunately I'm snow plow deficient at the moment. Hopefully I can get it working by sometime tomorrow. The F350 can plow the sugarhouse and open areas there in about 30 minutes, If I need to use the tractor it would take 6-8 hrs.
I just need to change the pump solenoid on the pump, but being on a blood thinner I get too cold. I need to be able to get into the marginally heated shop to do it. A double barrel stove in there helps enough, but it's not my shop, it's my brothers and he's using it today, maybe part of tomorrow, then I can get in. If he takes longer, I can do it ok on Friday with 40 degrees.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

That's a wrap here in Coventry, we managed to have our best season ever, even in a not so great season!

We got everything tapped, and had a small run with the rain this week, we were able to get our vacuum levels where they need to be, now we are ready for the season, should be making syrup by the end of this coming week!
