    Some temps look good this weekend but real cold after that for long so what u people doing?
    2021 95 taps all on 3/16' natural gravity 2018 home built 4x40 RO 2017 1000 sap 15gal syrup 4 runs of 3/16 natural vac 1 of 5/16 2016 775gal of sap made 12gal syrup 2015 18.5 gal about 55 taps. Have the best wife! cub cadet volunteer 4x4 sap hauler

    still waiting for the temps to get good, i dont think its going to get that warm over the next few day so im goig to wait it out a little longer.
    2013 1st year for me. 20 taps, 55 gallon oil drum evap. made 5 gal. of syrup
    2014 275 oil drum evap. new 2x3 pan ,20+ taps. made 7 gal. of syrup
    2015 new 10x16 sugar shack, 53 taps on buckets, 11.5 gal. of syrup

    Wait a couple of weeks, it'll take awhile to thaw out when it warms up

    I'm waiting no choice have to work but it looks real cold after Tuesday

    2015 - 44 taps...10.5 gallons of syrup - Randy Worthen 2x6 evaporator

    Assuming that it warms up again in about 10 days, what's the downside of tapping now to take advantage of the next few days of warmer weather?

    I'm in eastern PA. I was going to tap on the 19th, but I after watching the forecast I think I'm going to wait until the week, maybe two weeks, after that.

    Just hope not missing a run today n Monday Tuesday still looks ok but waiting,it's like making hay n hope it doesn't rain do I cut or not!

    The 10 day shows all below freezing up my way in Sussex county. Looks like more waiting.
