Hi everyone,
I have one of the Maple Guys Jet Presses, it is not the hand pump model its the electric motor model. Ive used it for 2 seasons now and last year did over 70 gallons with it. I will generally get about 8 gallons through it at a time before I change the papers. I am really happy with it. It does everything I need and does it quickly. I have a large 10 gallon brewery style pan that I heat my syrup up with over a propane burner. Once I hit 200 degrees I add my DE and start the pump cycling it back into the big pan until its running nice and clear, usually I will run it at least a minute or two. Then I shut it off and put my hose into my bottler and run the full pan through the press. It will empty the pan in less than 5 minutes and then I am on to my bottling steps. It really is a great little unit and I am glad I purchased it. I generally will only bottle 8-10 gallons at a time and for that amount it works great.
