We'll get something bit if it warms up too fast we won't get much in the buckets. Vacuum should do good.

I was sure hoping for a good freeze last night. 32 degrees when I went to bed last night, but only dropped to 30 by dawn. That's it for us I think.

my house thermometer got down to 22 deg and it is usually a warm spot. I'm hoping big-sap today.

I still think I can weather the warm weather and still make some grade b after it cools back down on tuesday. This woods is still full of snow and the ice is still think on the ponds. Taps have only been in 2 weeks.

Ran a bit over here today. I was able to collect enough to top off my storage to boil down for one last batch on Saturday! The trees that are still flowing are slow, but it's not buddy yet.
2024 - 16 taps - buckets on our best producing trees, still boiling on a block arch with slight modifications/refinements over the years.
    2021 - 25 taps - all buckets
2013-2020 - 30/41 taps: discovering which trees were the best producers
2012 - First year - 21 taps in our backyard - block arch evaporator with 3 steam table pans!

Best run of the year here today, a tad bit cloudy but that's ok. It was still running when I came in about an hour ago.

Same here, today was the best run of the season for me, with good clear sap. Todays sap JUST put me over the dreadful 2012 season, and with fewer taps. After today I'm thinking that I'm most likely done, but it's fun to go out with a great day.
