    35 here today and cold wind said nope nothing going to happen today, boiled yesterday for first time after collecting 160 gallons and went out late this afternoon with grandson to check pipeline only and holy Molly mother nature pulled a good one!!! All pipeline was running to beat the band and I mean hard. Grandson said Poppa that is some sappin!!!! I almost fell over and could not believe it. Looks like a good day tomorrow and maybe all night with the good temps tomorrow and the rest of the week

    Same thing today for me in the southern part. Yesterday it slowed while it was warm out so I thought the 2-day thaw had ended. Today (with just a light freeze over-night) it was running hard. Maybe the trees hadn't thawed fully after all? Or maybe that light freeze was enough? Confused but happy...

    ditto here in Littleton area. didn't expect much, came home w/ 375 and it's was still running at 7 PM
    2012: Probably 750 gravity taps and 50 buckets.

    600 gal stainless milk tank.
    2 - 100 gallon stock tanks
    one 30 gal barrel
    50 buckets

    3' x 10' Waterloo Raised Flue wood fired evaporator w/ open pans.

    12" x 20" Filter Canner

    Sawmill next to sugarhouse solves my sugarwood problem

    Gather with GMC 3500 2wd Pickup w/ 425 gallon Plastic Tank.

    Been tapping here in Lyman NH since 1989 but I've been sugaring since 8 years old in 1968.
