That is great. I put in 50 on Sunday so I assume I have the same. I better get my butt north. Is it still running today?

Yes still running. A miserable rainy day. I still managed to get another 17 gallons. First boil starts tomorrow.

I was up to Minden the weekend of mar 12 and 13. The weather was great, bright sunny warm days and cold nights. I made about 2.5 gallons of syrup. The next 5 days were rainy and cold, didn't get any more. If the weather is good on the Easter Weekend I'll try it again ...

Yes I am hoping for big things this easter weekend. I was away last week so need to catch up. I am just worried that I will arrive to blocks of ice in my buckets on friday.
the forcast looks a little cold later this week.

Hey Gang. Anyone still going at thins point. Had a great boil last weekend. Made 15 Liters of the best tasting syrup so far this year. I am hoping that I can get one more boil this weekend.

Hey that is great. I have not tapped yet. Planning to do it Saturday. Hopping to do around 60 taps this year. Looks like the cold is coming back for the next couple of weeks so I might still have some time to get things organized. I spent last weekend digging the evaporator out, and tried to get through the wall of snow off the main road to my bush road. These thaws, snow falls, and then freeze cycles are making for a sore back, and an overworked snow blower. My ATV plow has been useless. I am in need of a tractor with a 5 foot blower. Looks like a lot of manual sap hauling to start the season.

Here is hoping we did not miss to much yet. Good luck for the season
