ROR! (raughing out roud). (Apologies if that's too un-PC for anyone. I worked for many years for a Japanese company and learned to decipher and speak "Japonics.")

I'm hopeful, can't check till I get home, but the conditions are right. Wasn't supposed to get below freezing last night in my area, but when I got up it was about 28F, so I'm hopeful.

Ittiz I chose a vaca day to boil today. I started at 9am gone through about 60 gallons so far. I went to one of my sites at 1145 and buckets were half full on some and all buckets had something in them including the ones that previously ran nothing. I'm expecting full 5 gallon buckets at my other site when I go there at 5ish and half full buckets at the site I hit at 1145.

I tap 3 trees in my yard. Only one is running. What's up with that. I think 2 are soft maples, does that matter?

Handtapper I have 18 taps on a 55gal drum. Considering I haven't gotten much at all the last couple weeks I'm doubtful the barrel will be anywhere near full when I get to it today, but I hope I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Some of pipeline is running good and buckets but these have had the sun most of the day, others on pipeline and buckets are just a slow drip. Now with major snow on the way and the temps here in the 35-36 range I can see it now collecting in a snowstorm. Then cold for a couple of days then warm up then looks like hopefully all hell breaks loose and perfect conditions. If there is such a thing with this winter. That is what its all about
