I got 24 taps out with pails and collected over 20 gallons today. Looks like this is going to be the start of something big

Where in dutchess county are you. I'm in Clinton Corners, I set 80 ish taps out between Friday night and Saturday morning. I collected just about 110 gallons of sap.

Checked my jugs and buckets this evening, frozen SOLID!!!!
Finally got some syrup.
Boiled 25 +/- gallons last week and did another 10+ on Sat.
Finished off on Sun. Ended with 2 1/2 quarts of syrup.
May not be much but for my first time, I'm happy.
Very nice! Its a great feeling when you pour off some fresh syrup!

Weather did not allow for much "outdoor" boiling this weekend. Ran about 15 gallons through the drum before rain started. Collected 50+ gallons the last 3 days and will boil again tomorrow and Thursday.
This is alittle off topic but are there any c130 pilots on this thread?
