maple smoked pulled pork! just need to refill charcoal once or twice during a 12hr boil... don't forget to drench syrup on it and add maple chunks for smoke every now and then.
once its cooked and pulled, its an easy meal to heat up quick if friends drop in!

    What's a little extra defoamer?
“A sap-run is the sweet good-bye of winter. It is the fruit of the equal marriage of the sun and frost.”

backyard mapler since 2006 using anything to get the job done from wood stove to camp stove to even crockpots.
2012- moved up to a 2 pan block arch
2013- plan to add another hotel pan and shoot for 5-6 gallons
Thinking small is best for me so probably won't get any bigger.

Halfpint - I though it was an excellent question and I was looking for some new - good ideas. Although the Guys and Gals - on this Site - have some great ideas on how to make maple syrup. Sounds like the Cuisine shall be - Eat Hot Dogs and get smashed. lol - In Michigan - If dining on Dogs - It is Koegel Viennas with the casings - good no matter how they are cooked. ----Dogs, Hard Boiled Eggs and Booze----Haven't had that menu in at least 45 years -- lol -- Maybe someone will come through yet.
