We had high winds last night that took down sevral branches and a top wrecking a booster and pulling out some taps..was surprised to see 400 gal in the tank and more surprised to see 12 inch o vac..took a while to fix...i dont have the arch rebricked the way i want it yet,,that should be done in the morning,, went and got bbls so that is covered..got an additional 1200 gal of sap..wonder how much i missed..full tanks at the sugarhouse..should be a fine boil tommrow

Wondering what happend to the day...got 900 gallons trucked in this morning and sap started running hard..not too sweet..did not check but wound up with 600 gal of 7% washed the r.o. restarted bricking the bad arch wall then went and checked rte11 which was bone dry at 10...1000gallons (@4) trucked that back finished rebricking the failing side of the arch did the press swicthed sides threw a cord in front of the evaporator cleaned 2 bbls hosed the place down.
And hear i sit figuring wether im going to go boil now,,or,,get up at 3ish truck sap in the crunch it while i start boiling
When i was at the bank the wether said 29 for a low tonight and now i see 34 on accuweather..but..rte 11 is cold so it still might freeze.
Going to my daughters rugby game at unh tommrow afternoon so lining up some fellas to buy sap as im sure the 1500 gal tank woud overrun the way its been running

Got to the tank at 3am..about 3 inches from the top trucked in 1400 gal that ran since 4pm friday.
No freeze still running over 100gph..did not time it..

Made 45 gallons this morning,made it to my daughters game, tank was empty at 5am. Some friends picked up 300 gallons of sap and when i checked the tank at 4 it had 1400 gallons in it..crunching it now..looks like it will run all night, gonna truck one more load to clean it up..concentrate for the morning
Really surprised at how hard its running..my hydrometer says 1%..glad i have an r.o

1 a.m. when i got the r.o washed..interested to see whats in the woods tank..my forcast just changed to alot cooler..had a little frost last night..feel all bright eyed and bushy tailed after a soild six hours of sleep.....a new day, a new forcast, and new oppertunity...

Wound up hauling in 3000 gal o sap today..surprising me how long it takes to get ready to boil...had another top come down which dropped vac to 20..got it back to 25..hard run which is still going, should be1200 gal by 8..interesting latest forcast..buds dont look to scary lots of snow and ice in the woods..and plenty of wood in the shed.and a stack of empty barrles

O.k. everyon has their rubber boots and rain gear today? Interested to see what this rain does to the trees..should really knock down the snow and ice and pull a bunch of the frost out of the ground.. Got the r.o going crunching yesterdays sap another 30 minutes and i will have enough room to dump the load that was on the truck overnight and check the tank at rte11.
Was feeling the effects of lack of sleep yesterday..lots of little mistakes..should be back on track today

It was raining when i left my house this morning after sap,,snowing pretty well at the tank at rte11 (10 miles and a hill away) mabey 600 in the tank and trickeling in...got back and started boiling..managed to get all the concentrate boiled from both head tanks and made 100 gallons..went back to rte11 at 5pm,,puddles frozen over,,inch of wet snow and a frozen releaser..cleaned it out,,started it agine and it filled up with ice,slush..right away..iceicels all up the mainlines over the mountian..thermometer said 30 degrees..
Ohh how i love it
