    Default Tapped in Bedford, NH

Just thought I would throw my hat into the ring. We have 42 taps in for us most of which are on tubing with 4 more on buckets that I will hang later in the week. All trees are reds and were dripping Saturday and Sunday! Any other small timers in?

I'm waiting out this week too, and get through this cold spell we're entering. I plan to tap Thursday and Friday evening and be all tapped in for the weekend. I only run 15 taps, all buckets.

Small timer here in Merrimack, tapped about 20 trees and got 9 gallons over the weekend. It's about typical for me, my best day last year I only got 17 gallons.

    Good luck this season!

I tapped 5 trees last week (before my cordless drill broke). So far, each tree has given me about 1/2 gal each the last 3 days. I don't expect that to continue this week, with the colder temps. I plan on finishing up my tapping next week -- watching that weather forecast closely over here.

I tapped 23 of my 70 and only got about 18 gallons of sap through this warm up. I'm further North though. I made a quart and a pint last night. Now waiting for the next warm up.
