    Default Orange County NY

First taps in last weekend, but nothing yet. Next 4 days look good, though! Anyone else trying to see if we'll get a good run through Saturday?

We put in 154 this weekend in hopes of a good run to kick things off - followed by a break to fix everything that doesn't work as planned :-)

Almost nothing on the first few taps through yesterday morning. Put in another slug today - running clear and fast, so maybe I'll get a chance to make some steam tomorrow. Maybe...

Still not much flow; itching to get started, but only took in between nothing and maybe 8 oz per tap today. Then looks frozen solid through Thursday next. Slow start to the season! Boo hiss...

Has anyone had a good run yet? I know I'm in a cold spot, but i thought to have some good run by now. I'm running 23" of vac and had only one day of Ok running sap. Just curious.

Went nuts here last two days. Took maybe 1 to 1.5 gallons of sap per tap between Friday afternoon and sundown Saturday. I'm at 450 ft, so relatively cold. Some trees on buckets just started yesterday. I'm running about 35 taps and have 2.5 gallons of finished syrup in hand after the close of yesterday's boil. Might run today? Weather channel is full of it - says 28 degrees but everything is melting here, even in the shade. Unless physics changed, they are off by 4+ degrees. Weather predictions have been consistently messed up the last 2 weeks...
