anyone have any personal connections for trees in hollis nh?
I am looking for some more trees to tap in hollis nh. If anyone knows anyone living in town id barter of some finished syrup or candy. Anything 10 to 50ish taps would be greatly appreciated. Id consider other towns but those would have to be short lines like 50 total taps and pumping it out. Thanks in advance guys either way
Just spot some trees and knock on doors. Start by asking your friends who don't make syrup themselves. I used to give 1 qt of syrup for each 100 taps, now I pay cash or syrup, their choice but my rate is over $.75/tap (was .75 in 2011, + inflation rate as specified by Social Security compounded every year since). Some pay as little as 50 cents others pay $1.00 or more.
Good luck, first you look for 50 taps and before you know it you're tapping 1000+.

Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.
