    Default Syrup pan size

I have a custom made drop flue pan that is 30 " x 48" . Out of curiosity I was wondering what the size of my syrup pan should be? The syrup pan I am using now is about .10" x 30" long also custom made. Is this pan sufficient enough?

I think you've got quite a bit of leeway here. For example, some 2x6 evaporators have a 2x3 syrup pan and a 2x3 flue pan. The pans are 1:1 in size. My 2x10 has a 2x2 syrup pan, and a 2x8 flue pan, so the ratio is 1:4.

I've got the same as Motown. 8 feet of drop flue and 2X2 syrup pan. Works great!
