My sugar bush is in Foster City Mi. 2013 first year with 48 taps and produced 19 gallons of sweet maple nectar! Hoping to get that lucky this year. Totally hooked

Hi, I'm Ben from Charlotte, MI. This is my first year tapping... only 5 trees. Two sugars, a black maple, a freeman maple and a silver maple. So far the black maple is my best producer. The others seemed to still be frozen until about yesterday. But things are picking up now!

Mike from Eaton Rapids. 10 taps and boiling on Coleman stove and gas grill. Built a evaporator from a repurposed 2 drawer filing cabinet but have not perfected it yet and was not prepared with small wood to feed it. Will be better prepared next season with hopefully a cinder block arch. So far I have created aprox a quart mason jar worth of golden goodness!

Try SLH Metals Inc. in Corunna. They are great people to work with. I had them make a pan for me. He told me they do a lot of work for syrup guys. Their number is 989-743-3467.
