    Default Change in occupation!!

Well things have changed here in a big way. About a month ago I accepted a position with the local town highway dept. The plan is to train with and replace the existing road foreman.
He has been there for 35 yrs so I have some big shoes to fill. Still going to do excavating on the side and plan on making as much syrup as possible.

Well. I was raised on the family dairy farm. Folks started sugaring in '78. I went to college..became an elementary teacher(2 years- did not care for it). Back to milking cows. Delivered fuel oil, self employed logger, (couldn't afford the health insurance, sold the skidder in 2000). Been an MRO Buyer/Receiver for the last 14 years. Looking forward to retire in the next 20 years.

We should have a Mapletrader beer and brat day. The diversity of backgrounds of this group with the common maple juju running in our veins would make for a very fun gathering!
