Very nice sugarhouse you have. No bending and hurting the back on that rig. Got to love it.

Fantastic Job! I just went to file a building permit for mine today, I am also building a 12X16. Couple questions for you...
1. How long did it take you to build and did you have help?
2. Where did you get the metal roof?
3. Do you have any blueprints or plans that you could send me? The building dept is looking for details. If no blueprints, any specs on the roof or other features that could help me file the permit? Thanks!

I like your idea for the plastic sheeting to funnel the steam up! I'll have to remember that for this season...if I can ever get my sugarhouse work off the ground
I made a gutter system that goes under the plastic to catch the drips I'll get a pic of that for you

Great looking Sugar shack! Good choice on the stain color as well!
Looks awsome, could you take some pics of the stack leaving the roof from the inside, and what you did you do for your stack. I will be starting my shack this fall and am still trying to decide how i am going to do the roof jack and penetration to keep everything safe. Thanks.
700 taps, Smoky Lake 2x6 drop flu, 2 post RO. 16x20 Sugar House
Nice work. That is my dream right there.
2015 second year 13 taps looking to build a building now.
2014 first year 10 taps and still making syrup
Well I am adding on this year to accommodate a large expansion and to get the four wheeler out of the sugar house. The first addition is a 10X12 she'd for the four wheeler, trailer and log arch for the four wheeler. The second is a 16X16 addition for the RO raw sap and permeate tank. Also bottling will happen in there. I have done fairly well on Craig's list getting doors and windows.
I'll get pics of the other addition soon
