Brad, I have a beaverpond in my woods so I regularly have a problem with them invading my woodlot, apple orchard and sugarwoods. A great way to rid yourself of them is a 330 conibear set just into the water, set a few sticks into the mud to channel them into your set, and put some castor scent on the bank. Here's a few shots of the reason, the action, and the result.

Before other trappers start to complain, the waterlevel dropped just after I made this set; the set WAS underwater when I made it. After I took the picture I reset it further out. Got two there last year. I guess now this topic is "Trapping New Hampshire."
