    Default Good Day

Well------------ a good day for us here. Gathered 245 gallons and just shut down and will finish off in the morning what is in holding tank. Strange day. Pipeline was running like mad. Buckets around house on stud trees are shutting down. Out back in woods buckets were half to full with pipeline running hard. After clean up and talking. We guessed one day left or maybe until Tuesday. Not going to complain has been the best year ever. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Pretty good day here, my buckets ran well and are still running well but my bigger pipline of 600 taps seems to be slowing down. Best year since 2000! but no more freezes in sight.
2012: Probably 750 gravity taps and 50 buckets.

Shawn, we had a good day up the road in Enfield too. Left the vacuum on and sap ran all through the night. Thinking today is the last day, and that's fine by me. It's been a good year, I think we'll even surpass 2011 by the time all is said and done.

I was surprised to wake up and find almost every bucket 3/4 full even after gathering at 4PM last night. Unfortunately my bigger pipeline only ran half as well but still ended up w/ 350 gallons of sap since 4pm Yesterday.
