Running great here too. But the reds seem to have shut down. I just russhed and got another 25 taps up at the far in of my bush and got drenched in the process!! Yet I checked several of my 9 year olds buckets that he has on reds and nearly a drip I reamed the holes a bit and still not much not even close to the silvers and sugars. Interesting for sure.

Looks like Monday will be it!!

I have four reds that we tap and those were running good and not cloudy. Pipeline was running like mad like what happen here. I agree with you, I would say after this weekend we will be done. I told the guys that this weekend will the last good bash and after that hit and miss. Going to watch the weather and see. I do not look forward to the clean up. But its been a good year and God Bless the Maple!

yes, best run of the season so far for me. I gathered everything around 4 pm and got 375 gal, boiled it down and got 5 gal Dark Amber. Then I just gathered and got another 275 and it's still running. That's 650 gallons today where a typical run is 400-500 gal.
2012: Probably 750 gravity taps and 50 buckets.

We're just starting to have nice runs up here on the northern border. Was doing great today until the cold front moved in and starting snowing and cold wind. We have made over 900 gallons with limited runs, next three weeks will be crunch time for us.

Glad to hear that you guys up North are finally cranking. Here in the Lakes Region I'm STILL in the game. No hard freeze last night but I still managed to gather 1/2 GPT tonight, the sap is nice and clear and doesn't tasty buddy, and it looks like we're in for two good cold nights tonight and Saturday. What a great last hurrah for a good season!
