Well I had hopes today that it might open up some, but it seems colder today then yesterday. Taps were wet and wanted to run but no go. North wind again. Saturday in high 30's but cloudy. Sunday looks like the best day that maybe they will start in again.

Just down the road from you. I got 7 gallons yesterday and very little today from 18 taps. We have only had a decent run on three days but averaged 35-40 gallons on each of them so it will not be a loss either way. Hoping for a great week next week..................

I got 12 gallons out of my 30 taps today....they are starting to warm up and get moving. I helped my buddy last night, he has 40 taps on some BIG sugar maples, not silvers or reds like I have. We pulled out almost 100 gallons from his 40 taps, its insane the amount of sap he gets. All on bags. Some of his 4 gallon bags were over flowing, the taps look like someone left the faucet on they drip so quickly.

I guess we're in the same boat,I have not had any thing for at least a week and a half, heck I've only collected 40 gallon so far this year, every day I keep thinking today it will start but so far no dice.It has to start some time I would think.

SmellsLikeSyrup - I'm in Merrimack also and got 22 - 23 gallons today - lost count. Taps are really starting to run over here. I decided to ream out 2 taps that were dry and low and behold they began running well. (Not sure that I should have done that, but couldn't resist.) I added one more tap this afternoon around 5:00 - a Leader 5/16 straight spout that I picked up today at the Milford Agway. That thing started running like a leaky faucet. Only problem with that type of spout, my buckets don't fit it - needed to enlarge the hole on a plastic bucket. Looking like NH is going to have a good week! Better get ready for a lot of boiling time!
2024 - 16 taps - buckets on our best producing trees, still boiling on a block arch with slight modifications/refinements over the years.
    2021 - 25 taps - all buckets
2013-2020 - 30/41 taps: discovering which trees were the best producers
2012 - First year - 21 taps in our backyard - block arch evaporator with 3 steam table pans!

I moved some of my taps today, i had some buckets that just werent producing anything, so I put them on other trees or on other sides of the tree and they started flowing again...you could try drilling a small diameter hole in the tree and see if it starts dripping or not, you might just be in a bad spot on the trees.

cold, windy and raw here today. 38 was the highest I saw.

Still locked up tight, even down the road at Clarks pulling 22 on the vac with about 4000 taps, I watched the releaser for a good 5 minutes and it did not dump not once! Just a trickle. Had some good sugar on snow and a rare cooked buffalo burgar!!
