Cold taps in lyman ran well boy my 600 taps in Littleton only ran 3 gallons. Ended up w/ 75 gallons of clear sap and dumped about 20 gal. yellow or cloudy sap. Made another 2 gal of good tasting B but grades to Vermont Commercial by color. Still no metabolic taste. Up to 141 gallons! Maye another couple gallons of syrup on Monday and will probably pull.

Ended the 11th here with a small gather of 65 gals. Most were yellow and dumped and the moths were present. Pipeline slowed to nothing so pulled the plug. Was the best year ever for us with 40 gallons and one pint and I dont know what it is about it but the syrup tasted better then ever this year to us, real real sweet, or were getting better at it.

Gathered only 700 gallons yesterday. It was a slow warm up yesterday so the trees didn't get going until late. Today I collected 1,100 gallons. Looks like it will freeze tonight, so a run tomorrow might bring close to another 1,000 gallons.

I'm guessing a couple more days for me. Great year even if I get no more sap. 143 gallons which is the best year since 2000 and the fourth best year in 24 years.
