    Made another 16 pints today bringing my total for the year 11.5 gallons...have to end 2-3 weeks early fences to build, ewes to lamb and wedding to attend in Reno, Mabey I'll squander some my syrup money when the wife's not looking...c ya next year
    2016:100 taps added a JD 1023 sub compact tractor
    2015:break (new baby)
    2014: 70 taps, replaced my concrete arch with a manufactured
    2013: Added 15 more taps and a 18x24 warming pan
    2012 : 36 Taps, 2x4 divided pan on a concrete arch
    2006-07: Assisted an 'Old Timer' with 200 tapps, and his wood fired evaporator up in Wis.
    1986-1993: 5 taps, Boiled on a wood stove in Northern Mich.

    Yes! With the weather and this being my first year, I'm very likely pulling my taps after this upcoming weekend. I built a block arch in the yard with 6 steam pans -- I'm getting tired of waiting for calm, warm, dry weather to boil. Also, since I don't have a spacewalk in freezer to store the sap, my wife wants her fridge back . So, I'll probably boil again this weekend and hang it up for 2013.
