    Default Tapped in New Milford

Put a concrete floor in the sugarhouse and that delayed our start but finally hung 40 buckets yesterday with 1.5 gallons/day average.

Merryall, I came by last year to check out your sugar house and it looked good then, sounds even better with the new floor. Been tapped for a couple of weeks up on Long Mountain, only running 20 buckets this year but the runs have been good and the sugar content has been high. I have finished off 19 pints this alread which is more than all of last year. Good luck, looks like the weather will be good for the next few day.

G&D - No, I'm using wood but do finish with propane. Noah's Ark - I'm glad to hear the sugar content is better than last year. We boiled a bit tonight but didn't finish - should have my first calculations tomorrow and will let you know what we're getting. Stop by if you're on this side of the ridge!
