Collected about 25 gallons today from 85 taps. The temperature is good but we need more sun to get a good run. Tomorrow looks to be about the same as today but then a long wait for the next warm day.

We set thirty taps about two weeks ago. Yesterday was first run short and not a lot but it is a start.

Setting 40 taps this Sunday. Looks like the second half of next week looks good. Mother Nature owes us a good season after last year.

This has been the slowest start to any season I have been a part of.

I've got 100 taps out and it runs a little on the sunny days but nowhere near the gallon per tap I'm used to seeing on a good day.

I've collected about 85 gallons total and it took 4 or 5 runs to get there.

Today was sunny and mid to upper 30's and my buckets are almost empty!

However the 30 gallons I boiled down to 3 quarts made some very nice syrup.

This season has been incredibly slow, I only boil once a week. I'm up over 5 gallons of syrup and I tapped 4 weeks ago! This week is looking like a good one though.

Well yesterday was the first good day around here, pulled in about a gallon of sap per tap. It's even running good today, maybe a half gallon per tap. Looks like I'll be boiling 'til dawn.
