I was planning on it being $2/lb which is why I was making it. $2lb is worth it, anything less no...especially at $0.75/lb. The mersh I made actually filtered and fine, and didn't boil as bad as mersh in year's past.

I do believe that filtered mersh is still $2lb but I haven't called to verify this. They have never asked me if the mersh I brought in was filtered and paid for filtered. I did filter it though.

Did they say anything about buddy or off flavor syrup?

Thanks Russ/Eric. Last year they paid me $2 for buddy syrup. This year it's in kegs, so I won't get docked the $0.05 Last year, I saw someone bring in say fifteen 5-gal jugs and understand why they doc those....it took forever for those to get processed.

Thanks for the info. I only bring syrup down in 15 gallon or larger sizes now. The last time I was there I saw a guy bring in a galvanized barrel. I wonder how much longer they will take those?

My understanding is that this is the last year that Bruce will accept galvanized containers.

Ty have never said anything to me about buddy or off flavored syrup being any less in price. I guess I just figured that is what commercial syrup was(buddy or off flavored)
