    Default 2013 prices?

    Just wondering what this years prices will be around the Adirondacks. I was in VT last weekend and saw syrup for 37.50 a half gal, 58 gallon. This was at a major producer. Seems a little steep for half gal. Thoughts??
    2009- 15 taps, flat pan on blocks
    2010- 35 taps, barrel evap
    2011- 45 taps, leader 1/2 pint
    2012- 75 taps, leader 2x4 VT special
    2013- 120 tap

    Here in Maine it's 60 a gallon and 37 1/2 gallon.

    Where do we find our Price here in Michigan?
    2012- Can't Remember 1st year...
    2013- 41 taps made 13 Gallons of Syrup
    2014- 20 taps made 5.5 Gallons of Syrup
    2015- 43 Taps made 10 Gallons of Syrup
    2016- 43 Taps...

    Don i will let you know after we have our syrup
    Association meeting Thursdays prices seem to always go up
    But right now they are 48 dollars a gallon

    I'm looking at $20-$25 a liter up here. $70-$75 for 4 Liters

    I sell for $55 gal and $30 half gallon.

    2012 -1st season. Never boiled syrup before. Built 32x32 barn and put in 3100 taps on vac 1st year. Used leader 5x12 wood fired evap. Old D&G 600 RO.
    2013 -Brand new D&G 1000 GPH RO. 3800 taps on vac.

    New oil fired leader 4x14 reverse fire, reverse cross flow max evaporator with steam away.
    Maple sugaring is very addictive.

    14 pint
    8 1/2 pint
    5 1/4 pint
    30x8 Leader revolution, wood fired blower, steamaway/hood. 903 taps all but 54 on pipeline and 3 vacuum systems. Hauling sap this year with a 99 F350 7.3 diesel dump and of course back up is the Honda 450 and trailer.
