Default Filter Aid and Cone Filter

I have never used a cone filter before and have purchased one from Mason. Do I need to use DE Filter Aid with it or not. When I used to sugar commercially before becoming disabled, we used a filter press and DE. Thanks for the advice in advance. BAP

BAP, I never used it in any of mine, just filtered imediately while piping hot and ran through with no problem.

No filter aid, I do use the prefilters in each cone, makes it easy to change when the start building up. I pull out the prefilters put in a new one, rinse the sweet out of the prefilter and throw it away.
