    Hi Tom,

I bought mine used from eBay. It is a Dayton 4C108 Blower radial high pressure 10 5/8 wheel diameter. I cueerntly have a 3/4 hp motor at 1700 rpm. I am almost ready for a test boil and can't wait to see how it does. I am using 2" pipe with 3/8" nozzles.

so, I hope to have this thing done by this weekend so I can move it into the temporary sugarhouse not to much left to do but hook up the blower and get the linkage done for the dampers and a few more pieces of stainless to screw on002.jpg001.jpg

    Beautiful workmanship!

I'd worry about those lower nozzles on the door. If they are blowing high speed jets of air right on the wood you will really use up the wood fast!

Very pretty arch man..... Question though. Where will the pans set, on the main rail or on the AOF tubes? I had read that you should put the tubes down about 6" front the bottom of the pan to allow the flames and heat access. Otherwise you will lose boiling around the edges of your pan? I assume you are planning on insulating too? Just curious.....

thanks guys, waynehere, it doesnot look like it in the pic but the top of the tube is better than 3'' down from the rail and nozzels are 6'' or better plus the inch of rail gasket on top to seal the pans to arch. i will get it insulated with blanket and brick when i move it to the new location[

ok, so today i got the blower plumbed up to the pipes for aof & auf and tried it out so how much airflow should be coming out of the nozzels 15'' away? like haulin balls or a good breeze across the arch? I have 44 nozzels and 3 dampers 1 to controll the aof for the manifold and 1 for the door and 1 for auf. the nozzels are 5/8'' i.d. maybe to big? some feedback is appreciated.
