    Default King of NY

I found this thread today and was wondering if this question was ever answered. The largest Producer I ever met was Parker Family Maple in West Chazy. I bought a used RO from them a few years ago and was impressed with their opperation when I picked it up. I don't know if they are the largest at around 40000 taps but they are huge compaired to me.

    Catskill Mountains
Saphouse - Somewhere in witness protection area.
2.5 X 8 Smoky Lake pans on grimm oil fired arch
RO - Ecochem with 2 codeline vessels and 2 MES vessels.
2000-3000 Taps depends on the season.
    Always looking for more sap!

It seems to me that this has been discussed before, at that time Crown Maple was boasting about being the largest producer in New York State, producer to them meant the most taps! If they truely have 60000 taps they probably are in first place for now in New York.

I would expect between 50,000 and 60,000 for 2013 season.

I bet that's Sen. Chucks guest house when he visits? My picture is not the best, it looks like it's a brick structure.

I don't know about New York, but my 250 buckets make me the king of the Village of Potsdam...

When you manage billions of dollars for others on Wall Street, it's just a 'right off' I'm sure. His disposable income or play money. When you sell a quart of syrup for $42.00 you could build one of these too.

I know of a guy in Wethersfield NY that's know to be the biggest in New York state. All I know is his first name witch is Gordy. I was told that he's pushing over 80,000 taps. And that was 3 years ago

I am about to drill my first 40 taps, but I'm a hair over 6 ft 4. I may be the biggest.
