calling it a great year

well, after having been tapped for over 8 weeks and sap runs for 41 days, it's over for us having 57 buckets and collecting over 850 gallons of sap. now is the time to think about how big to go next year. for us it may be possibly doubling our number of buckets. i'm calling this year a success for us with all our new toys and learning curve. 15 gallons of syrup is mighty fine for all of the different grades of syrup we got. it only can get bigger from here.

Congrats on a great year. I say every year I'm done buying something but always find something I really need for sugaring.
