does anyone know if an ultraviolet light helps to prevent ropey syrup from developing in flu pan?
Im sure it will help some. The ropey syrup is caused by a certain bacteria(cant think of the name right now). It usually happens when sap sits to long or get to warm in the shack. If you get ropey syrup dump everything you have and clean it well. Then start over with fresh sap.
