    Default Sugar Levels

    Is it us, or does it seem that the sugar content is lower this year?
    Switched to 100% UVO this year. Takes a little longer to to make product.
    Has anyone out there seeing the same?

    Four Saps

    1000 taps, UVO gun, Leader evaporator 3 x 12, dropped flues.
    Small operation in South central NYS 1000 taps, 3 x 12 oil fired drop flues.

    My sap started at 1.8 on the first run then it went to 1.9 for a few thousand gallons and then yesterday i got 2%. It's still early.

    started with 1.9, then a few days at 2.2, stayed at 1.6 for most of the season. been pulling vacume 24/7, down to 1.3. just started making b

    my sugar levels from the bush stayed at about 1.5 all season,which seemeed low compared to most years,the few roadside trees were at 2.0
