    Default 1st ro attempt

This mourning i positioned my ray gingerich gas 250 ro beside my overhead sap tank, hooked up the camlocks, fired it up, it ran 300 gal sap thru in just under an hour and half, came out at 5 percent sugar ran directly into my conc. tank and it took 300 gal. down to about 125 gal. I say about because I flooded the evap before it got finshed, I even checked the permeate water and it had a 0 reading on sap hyrometer, sap tested 2 percent going in, 5 percent with 1 run thru, very excited about this saeson, and very happy at least with 1st run on the ro.

Sap hydrometers are not accurate at 0%. To know for sure your permeate has no sugar you need to boil down some and test it after it cools. I think I have heard 20:1 ratio.
