    This is NJ ... land of the highest taxes . This " shed " is to store farm equipment in. Thanks again to all who respond.

    If you have a chance and other sugarhouses in the area tour them. I'm sure all the owners would be more than happy to give you a look see. See as many as you can, take notes and even pictures, and apply the good ideas to what will work for you. I wish I had plans when I built. I would do alittle, step back, and plan!

    The reason is gas. Gas fumes stay low and that is why you can't have a wood stove in a garage. In my area saying it is a barn is a lot easier than trying to build a garage. Good Luck. Lee

    OK so today I went to the sawmill and for hemloc board batten siding $815 for 95 1"thick by 10" wide 8' long and 95 battens. Is that a fair price or can anyone reccomend a sawmill less expensive ?Thanks

    Thats not a bad price. When I ordered the sides to my sugarhouse (also hemlock rough cut) it was a little more than that.
    12X16 Sugarhouse and 16x24 attached woodshed

    120 3/16 tubing
    And still some buckets

    Board and batten is a good look . Best of luck to ya . Take lots of pics along the way and post em on your profile it will help the next addict .
