    Default Tapped in Stamford

Tapped about 215 today and will finish up another 125 on Saturday. It was running like mad all day. I hope to sweeten the pan on Saturday. Let the fun begin.

Made some nice fancy yesterday. Lots of niter when drawing off. Looks like I will have swap out syrup pans moreoften this season. Any one else experiencing heavy niter this season?

I went around last night to check on our buckets. Removed some ice blocks from the ones that were somewhat full. I collected almost 60 gallons tonight. I had to clean my pan as well from all the niter build up. It is a lot more than last year for sure.
