Default Low Ratio on the Reds

I finished off 22 OZ from 14 gallons of sap, a 81:1 ratio, usually higher than this, but maybe it will go higher.

I hope so.....that is running just above 1%. That is going to eat alot of time and heat to syrup off! Hope my reds treat me better than that, but again, thank god for RO! This machine better work.

I burn mostly small diameter pine, seasoned for 2 years, brush, branches, raspberry prunnings, so am using the opportunity to clean up around the farm, then "mill" the ashes, blend with lime and use on the crops, so other benefits other than syrup-just trying to be optimistic. But hope the % increases!!
