Default 2X3 Plans on Google Sketch-up - Well Done

I just wanted to send a note to talk about some plans that I first noticed on this board then dug into on Google Sketchup. They are well done and the unit was a pleasure to build. If I were to build it again, I would add two more inches to the depth of the firebox. I have not used the rig yet, but see no reason why it won't do what I want it to do. Attached are a couple of pictures (damper door not cut in yet). The pan was purchased used from Bascoms.

It is on there. The rig only has a 2x3 flat syrup pan. I am making a preheater pan as well. 40 taps.

I also used those plans to build my arch. Great plans and I agree with you, I would build the firebox a little longer if I did it over. I have used mine the last 2 seasons and it works great!

I am glad to hear that it has worked well for you. I plan on using it for a year or two then wrestling my dad's Grimm lightning 2x6 away from him.

The rig has worked awesome so far. 11.5 gallons made so far. I made a manifold style blower that is getting me to greater than 10 hph when the sugar content is high in the pan. The blower is worth it's weight in gold, even on a small rig.
