Big sap again yesterday, 7,200 gals from 4,000 taps. 1,600 were tapped in January with the zap bac spouts. Caught up to last year to date total and should surpass it tomorrow. Back to winter tomorrow night, then more big sap next week.

Thanks for your answers on this a couple weeks ago. You were right, and indeed the sap did start running again just fine!

Van, if you're not careful, you will need to buy more barrels again and then sell at an additional farmer's market to sell it all. How will you get any time to fish that way?
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

Besides the expense of building a warehouse to house more barrels, there goes the boat!

No worries selling my crop Dave, and I have lots of room for barrels. I am done for the year. Average year for me. For those still going up north, good luck.

Yes, I remember all of the room you had.

Well, guess I’m not done. Good freeze last night for the upper bushes and I’ll be boiling again tomorrow. Still 1.6% and looks, tastes, and test boils fine. Good thing I just cleaned the ro and evaporator.

I had a freeze the last 2 nights, but my trees have green on a good number of them, just a hint of green.

Now I’m done with another three barrels filled. Started cleaning up today and getting ready for next year. Still tanks to bring in and taps to pull.
