Another 45 gals made today. Tomorrow will be my last sap collection of 2018. Even with almost no sap in March, this was my best production in 24 years of sugaring.

Wow that's GREAT news Van. I was at a family wedding this weekend with your friend Phil K. and he sends his regards. I was telling him how it's funny that you had posted you had made 1,200 gallons of SYRUP a few days back and I collected 1,224 gallons of SAP for the season. what a difference . But it was my best year ever also. Just over 20 gallons of syrup. tubing made the difference. I am a happy hobby producer. And I see Woodstock Matt is making some big improvements for next season! Good for him!

Van, please let us know your final total when all is said and done, I and many other are interested.

Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.
Sorry, I was wrong. Three words that every wife likes her husband to say, constantly! Last night low of 25 and sap is coming in today, so last boil tomorrow. I will end up with around 1,500 gals of finished syrup.
1,472 is the total unless I find a bonus barrel in October. I had a couple really long days that I may have filled a barrel and not written it down. Happens almost every year.
You worked really hard. Congratulations. Will we be seeing you at Toms?
Impressive to say the least.
Now take a few days and go fishing, you earned it. You may also want to check in to see if you are still married too.

Day off? Too much to clean up before that happens. I will be at Toms probably late morning.
6 month cancer check came back clear! Now to go fishing for big northern pike.
