I ran my 2x6 evaporator off of a 12 volt blower. I found the blower on an old R.V. camper heating system. They have a small squirrel cage blower that works perfect. I had a deep cycle 12 volt battery as my power source. The longest I had to run it was 5 hours without any problem. I have 110 power in my shack so I took the power inverter out of the camper and used that as my power source to convert 110 to 12 volt. I also use the 12 volt water pump on the bottom of my stepsaver to transfer the syrup into my barrels. It works great as long as when your done for the day you pump some warm water threw the pump.
