I'm sure it is Parkers. They are listed as having reported and they are right around that number (30,000).

That is correct. Perhaps when the season poll has been completed all the posts should be put back on the mesage board for us to check out and see who posted what. Might make for some interesting off-season browsing.

Tap counts are continuing to pour in for our survey and we have yet to hear from the 60,000 tap member or anyone from Quebec, but it's interesting to see how IN, MA, & OH all seem to be dominated by hobby producers so far.

As far as I know, most of the larger Ontario producers are not involved with Maple Trader and there is a very small number of members from Quebec - mostly hobby producers at that. That being said, many of us are still waiting to tap.

I can't figure out what some of these guys have the internet for around here. They are amazed I can find information out on it. My neighbour is one of the little guys and only has 18000 taps right now. All the others have like 5000 and are considered hobby farms.
You can't get crop insurance if you produce less then 7000 liters of syrup a year and they go by a 5 year average.
    maybe 50 taps for 2011
Finally ready to boil when I get enough sap
I just might be crazy.( make that I know I am)
Trees all tapped except the ones with 5 feet of snow.
Enough rabbits to keep Elmer busy..
