Default Distance between wet and dry line

Hey everyone, I was wondering how far aprt do you space your wet and dry lines from one another? Do you just measure the manifolds and space your dryline base off that? I am getting ready to string my first wet/dryline system and any advice or tips would be greatly appriciated.
    Thanks
    Jeff

If you use the PVC manifolds the spacing between wet and dry is critical. I use a series of stainless steel Y's and with this setup, the distance between the wet and dry lines can vary, and doesn't create a problem.

By the time to assemble the addapters and what not you'll probable have the spacing you need.

Just make sure the vertical part is oversized enough to let the splash of the water separate from the gasses and allows separation.

I used 2" PVC and it seems to work pretty well.

About a foot apart depending on the manifolds you use.
