sodium hydroxide
I also purchased Darryls press and hand pump, but after 1 year i upgraded to an air pump. i can press between 10/13 gallons per set of papers. it all depends on how bad the sugar sand is
there is no way a 1/2 hp pump is going to run a 330 procon and after reading your post again, go with at LEAST a 1hp motor
I had the same problem couple years ago not real sure what caused it but i think sap leaked past the U ring on the concentrate end of membrane
sap enters the outside port on all your membranes and concentrarte comes out the opposite end on the outside port. Permeate comes out the center port
When you wire up the pump by pass the pressure switch
yes usually after 8% pressure starts to climb and i would have to open up the concentrate needle valve to keep the pressure down and the flow up
I use 3 4x40s and with recirculation i get to 10 sometimes 12%
Just curious if you have any kind of relief for the procon pump
yes you can, i just bought 20 from Menards today

or you could do this
looking forward to seeing everyone again this year
temp should be 211f when you use the hydrometer
12 volt battery ,Zomodo camera and smarttalk hotspot
have you checked with Bill Mason, he is located in Chapel Maine
I used HOT water and baking soda, and triple rinse
you should be able to remove at least 90 gals of water per hour with your new set up
you can do this but you need to add the solid plate also and lengthen the bolts that hold it together

low pressure shut off is nice when you want to leave the R/O unattended to do other things and it will shut down when it runs out of sap
I use the same setup, i have always left everything intact and the barrels have always been sealed. I fill them at 200 degrees
looks good Clay, like you said much nicer than standing outside
I installed the small releaser from lapierre in 2 different woods. built small sheds for tanks and equipment. pretty much good to go after starting them each morning. Trouble with ladders is takes...
Bascoms has a couple large tanks inside their building. it would have to be refrigerated
