Tapping old Cemetery maples...disrespectful or not??? Saying that person makes an effort to carry in, carry out and walks around the outsides of the cemetery.
For all that are interested take a peek at this post...it's a 2008 post but still good knowledge about ice in our sap.

I've used a similar set up last year. We had about 150 gallons of sap, we just kept adding warm sap until we had about 4 gallons of concentrate then moved it over to a turkey fryer and finished it...

Got 72 in so far......ran out of buckets!!!
The person that told me that info also told me that the quicker you can boil off your sap to syrup the better the quality, not sure if that's true but that's what sparked my idea that maybe my sap...
So i'm a little on the newbie side and So I've heard that adding semi-cold sap to my hot sap may down grade my syrup quality outcome. Well I recently purchased a WF Mason 2x4 XL with a 5 gallon...
Sugar bug finally got to me.....Just put in 23 taps in Gardiner....all but three were running excellent!! Might put some more out this weekend if not next week.
