Great idea with the blue buckets. I already have my buckets, hate to sped money on new. This idea will work on metal, also.

Nuts would work great. The trick is finding the weight balance. The splitshots are cheap and very easy to apply.

I hope we get a good run today. Not one super run yet this year. The pans are sweet, bit we are just going day to day, no excess.

Maybe a stupid question, but are you sure you are perfectly level ?

Taking off work next week. This snow is making it rough, but I am chompin' at the bit to get cookin'. I hope to get 200 taps..depends in the weather and the thaw. Good luck to all !!

Yes !!! Sap was runnin' like the dickens today. It was double drippin' almost all day. Can't wait for this weekend.

If it is going to get below 15, I drain my pans. I always think "It'll be ok", but then I chicken out. It only takes 15 mins. I am not a big risk taker. A 2x6 is alot easier to do than some of the...

I can do about 100 buckets in an hour and a half. If I'm an a hurry about an hour,

Put in out 100 taps friday. Went out last evening to collect and ony got 40 gallon. Slow runnin' so far, hoping for some sun today.
