Nice job in the article, your sugarhouse looked very good.
I'm nearly tappped, should be able to boil by wednesday at the latest.
I have all sorts of different options. Call me or stop over
My first year I didn't even tap. I just stuck a milk jug over a broken branch. I'd say you are way ahead of where I started. Have fun this year. Stop over anytime, I'm not too far from you
the first thing you need to determine is what rpm the pump is supposed to be run at. After that just determine a speed slightly above an idle for your engine, do the math to figure the ratio from...
We did an experiment this year as I could only find one of my Lapierre tapping bits. Two of us were tapping and I was using a standard bit and my buddy the tapping bit. I used up three fully...
I've ordered directly from Voorhees before and was very satisified
Its better to use the tank. If you can find an old air compressor, those tanks work pretty good.

If you go to a heating supply store, not a big box, you can get sight glass tubes and mounts pretty cheap usually. I looked on McMaster and Carr and they had alot of different choices that would...

thanks

Any thoughts?
got the blow downs cleaned up, the old lines repaired, currently stringing some new lines, rebuilding the vacuum pump engine, fixing the trailer, straightening up the sugarhouse, .... should easily...
We did the same with tub caulk, cleaned it a litttle and stuck it on. used to fix my horse's water tank that way and it always held up then too, just smear it around good.
You are right, its just that the problem is now self-employed, at least for the time being.
And what a huge improvement in service that shakeup of employees has made there
the laser thermometer will usually only read the steam coming off of the syrup as that is the first thing the beam hits and reflects back from. It would be nice if they worked, but from experience,...
If you are anywhere near Rochester, you are welcome to come see my set up.
I wonder how much time people who blame the teacher's unions for their child's poor education actually put into ensuring that their child gets whatever educational needs necessary when they live in...
I used it last winter. unfortunately, our season was pretty short so I can't make any big statements as to that. the little bit I did though it worked fine. The tank is made of polyehtylene so it...
I went with this one instead to avoid the galvanized....
We have always pulled on the pallet/cribbing that we built. This prevents damage to the tank as then it is just a passenger and not being pulled upon directly. Any strapping to the tank should be...
